2 new foals down the street and big gang up on the ridge where we went 4-wheel'in.
Hike to Le Bettex ski lift, open in the summers with amazing view of Mont Blanc Electric assist bicycles, they are the best way to get around! (Jan you need these!) Proud day to be an American and what better way to celebrate than a Pink Party! Our turn to host! The Route des Grandes Alpes is a scenic drive through the French Alps from Lake Geneva to Nice. This classic car rally stopped in Megéve for the night, showing their stuff at the small airport.
BRIAN AND MARY, YOU MUST PUT THIS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST!! Sedona, Monika (the cook), Manfred, Kerri, Great Grandma, Stephan, Paul, Dominik, Phoenix, Gretta and Jes behind the camera. Homemade Spaetzle (German pasta) Trinity Mountain Street. Germans link several words to make one. In English we call it a sentence.
Hike on the adjacent mountain with amazing views of Mont Blanc and Megève. After 4 months in Europe a local Chef tipped us in on where to find kale. Not sure why it's not grown here (and we couldn't find seeds) but a least now we can make smoothies in this retro-first-generation Vitamix Paul found in the shed. We were in a hurry to get back from our trip to Annecy and only had time for shots out the car window. Definitely going back for some hikes near Col des Aravis. Hike with Lisa to get a better view of the village, we have to share the trail with our beefy friends. The lift and luge will open in a few weeks...can't wait!
The Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice) is the largest glacier in France, 7km long and 200m deep and is one of the biggest attractions in the Chamonix Valley. To access the Glacier we took the train of the Montenvers from Chamonix town center (Gare du Montenvers). |
